Marciano Museum, in central Venice, is part of the Basilica San Marco complex and is famous for containing the original copy of the large bronze horses that used to be displayed outside.

Other attractions at Venice's Marciano Museum include a gallery that offers a stunning view into the basilica, and also a large balcony that overlooks San Marco Square, where many dignitaries have watched ceremonies over the years. Also on show at Venice's San Marco Square are a number of historic manuscripts, fragments of very ancient mosaics and also some antique tapestries.
